ReplyDeleteI am currently working on a quilt for my cousin, who recently lost her father. One of the things I love most about quilting is being able to give something that is comforting and full of love to someone who needs it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome block. My sewing room is all boxed up and I'm in the need of some sewing therapy. We recently moved and I'm unpacking the sewing room last since it would be too much of a distraction and I would never get the other rooms unpacked! Hope to get in there this week to organize my new sewing area...which I'm excited about! Thanks for offering the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteFinishing projects is what is happening. I have completed the binding on two quilts that have been quilted for several months. Now I am working on completing several BOM projects from the last couple of years. I have almost completed block 3 from this fun project.

ReplyDeleteIt's what is NOT happening in my sewing space--it needs a good organizing. So in the meantime, I stitch in the family room and try to make progress so there is less to organize in there. Am I succeeding, not so much; but I keep at it.
ReplyDeletebeautiful work
ReplyDeleteWow, your work is so inspiring. Especially since I have not even finished my first quilt yet! Hmmm. I have to admit that I am ironing the quilting stash that I have managed to accumulate. Despite the fact that I hate ironing, I like to have things organized, and the only hope I have of fitting everything in my sewing room is ironing the post-wash crumpled fabric. Of course it also means that when I pull something from my stash, it will require a lot less ironing. I must admit that I would love to win such a lovely prize, the timing is serendipitous, my wedding anniversary is on February 2nd. Thank you for this opportunity. 😊. I am not sure how other people are supplying you their email addresses so this will have to do for me: gilshallos at outlook.com.
ReplyDeleteI hope my blocks turn out like yours, nice! Going slow, trying
ReplyDeleteI just love how you have cut your center block for the butterfly background! Stunning! My 'sewing room' is working on making BOM blocks for about 8 different projects, getting a bit messy.
ReplyDeleteJust finished a quilt called Extra Credit; a modern wonky log cabin with a little Miss Kate and other fun fabrics. Made a couple of cute HST heart pillows for friends. Going to organize the scraps a bit and move on to a lucky shamrock pillow or table runner next. Thanks for sharing your blocks; love the fabulous color combos.
