Sewing ♥ Love!

It's my stop on the "She Who Sews" Blog Hop today!
A big thank you to Madame Samm @ SewWeQuilt for rounding up bundles of prizes to giveaway for this hop featuring "Handmaids" by J. Wecker Frisch.  How to win?  Comment and participate! Carla @ Creatin'intheSticks has organized not only this hop, but a Door Stop hop on alternate days!  THANKS, gals!

So... after my previous post, you would think that I don't hang out in the sewing room much.  But I do. And my dear husband brought home a new space heater last night, the darling man.  So now I can spend even more time down there.  Of course, I have a quilt studio upstairs too, which is where my longarm machine, Ol' Betsy lives.  And I'm commandeering the spare bedroom to display my sew-y goodness today.  All part of my evil plan to take over the house...  Ü

Now on to the projects!

I love this line of fabric.  It's perfect to make more of my Snippets for the Sewing Room!  It reminds me of the Victorian age, Gibson Girls, Mary Poppins, and a little Steam Punk (my daughter likes that - I had to google it!).

I remembered a little boot similar to this that hung in my Grandmother's back bedroom.  I think it was her mother's, whose name was Mary Malinda.  I've always wanted to make one.

Mary's Boot Pincushion  << see new pattern.

Dishtowel Apron  << see pattern.  Top hats and mustaches seem to suit the fabric, too!

A little Sewing Kit: <<see tutorial.

Oh, look!  A detachable Needlenook! <<see tutorial

Holds all kinds of stuff!

Mustache mints!  I can't tell you how long I have held on to these for the perfect moment!!  ♥♥

Cut & Press Booklet:  << see tutorial

And a Memory Board: << see tutorial.

My sewing room buddies... 16 years ago! ♥♥♥

So... I'm also working on a couple of quilts.  This was an International Round Robin and just seems to go with the whole Victorian/red/black decor!  I am trying to decide if I use blocks from Handmaids to grow this quilt, or just finish it as is.
Meanwhile... let's take a look at my UFO to Go portable design wall and see what's happening...

I just can't seem to get enough of this fun fabric!  And, can you tell, I like RED?  ♥♥

Free tutorials and patterns are now available for these projects and many others on my Snippets page.  I'd love for you to follow or subscribe so you don't miss out!

Be sure to visit all my other sewing sisters on today's hop ~ Love these gals!

>> Deonn @ Quiltscapes <<

Meanwhile - Win your own panel plus a few odd fat quarters (mustaches, scissors, etc) and other goodies by leaving a comment.  I'll announce a winner on Feb 8th after the hop.  Can you guess what's inside the hat box?
