Yes, still doing the hexamacallit thing around here... and since I needed to come up with project ideas to demonstrate
Hexie-Half rulers in the recent "How To" video with Cindy at Riley Blake Designs... Thought I'd showcase the actual finished projects every day for the remainder of this week.

Fabric: So Happy Together by Deena Rutter for Riley Blake Designs. |
First project: Hexagon Pillow. This uses the small Hexie Half ruler. The pillow top required 25 5" squares, and one 2-1/2" x width of fabric strip for the end sections. Pillow back: 1/2 yd, binding: 2 @ 2" strips. Lay out the quilt to align the hexagons, then sew it together in horizontal rows. Sew easy! Press each row in alternate directions.
You can see how I finished the back with the
Easy Lapped Zipper tutorial yesterday for
Cutting Corners.
And for your viewing pleasure... Here's the video. You can see what's in store for the rest of the week! Yes, you'll see my favorite hexagami flowers too... love them!
Love it, really looks so simple.
ReplyDeleteLove it! The solids are a really nice coordinate with those fabrics, and the design is great.
